On this day in 1980: Genesis fans who showed up up at the Roxy Club box office in Los Angeles to buy tickets for an upcoming gig were surprised to find the band members Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford selling the tickets themselves!

On this day in 1986: Whitney Houston was enjoying her second consecutive week at #1 on the U.S. singles chart with ‘The Greatest Love of All.’ The song would spend one more week in the top spot before Madonna would take over #1 with ‘Live To Tell’ in early June of 1986.
