Hey it’s Charlie! I’d like to introduce you to The 80s Deep Dive, a brand new show here in Charlie’s 80s Attic airing Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1pm-3pm eastern with a replay from 8pm-10pm eastern.

The 80s Deep Dive will take you deep into the 80s music archive, showcasing songs that did not chart in the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. The show will feature songs that charted on the Billboard Hot 100 between #41 and #100, songs that missed the Billboard Hot 100, perhaps appearing on the Billboard Bubbling Under the Hot 100 Chart, or songs that made their mark on other charts like the Mainstream Rock, R&B, Adult Contemporary, and Dance charts.

Since it’s launch in April of 2020, Charlie’s 80s Attic has been your home for those Deeper 80s hits. incorporating them into our regular rotation, and that will continue, but we will now have an entire show dedicated to those forgotten and underappreciated songs of the 80s decade.

I personally love the Billboard Charts, and consider myself somewhat of a chart nerd, but I’ve learned over the years that a song simply missing the Top 40 on the Hot 100 doesn’t make it a bad song. There are many factors that may have contributed to that. There are lots of “not so good” songs that cracked the Top 40 and lots of great songs that never made it. We here in Charlie’s 80s Attic are champions of those underappreciated, forgotten songs from the 80s that you never hear played on terrestrial, satellite or other streaming stations. We are proud to introduce a new program that will showcase those very songs.
