On this day in 1984: Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Dancing In The Dark’ peaked at #2 on the U.S. singles chart, the first of seven singles from his seventh studio album Born In The U.S.A. which all hit the U.S. Top 10. The video was shot at the Saint Paul Civic Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and shows Springsteen pulling a young Courteney Cox from the audience to dance along with him on the stage.

Also on this day in 1984: Duran Duran were starting their second and final week at #1 on the U.S. singles chart with “The Reflex.” It would be ranked the #16 song for the year of 1984 on Billboard Magazine’s year-end chart.
